This new edition of the "Night of the 2 Infinite" is intended to unite all audiences: from the simply curious to the most knowledgeable, as well as the fascinating mix of extremes in science: from the infinitely large to the infinitely small, the discovery of places of experience and actors in science and the meeting of genres: science as a source of inspiration for artistic creation.

The "Elementary Components of Matter" poster was created in 2005 for the World Year of Physics with the ambition to be, for elementary particles, the equivalent of the periodic classification of chemical elements. At the time, it was sent to all high schools in France. After a decade of good and loyal service, it was time to update this poster. Indeed, particle physics reached an important milestone in 2012 with the announcement of the discovery of the Higgs boson by the ATLAS and CMS experiments of the Large Hadron Collider, the LHC (CERN).
